CHAPTER 1 OPENING
Suppose you live in the deepest communism and have a secret wire enabling you to listen to forbidden Western news and watch censored-out movies... One would think that any damage to such a cable would make you sad and repairing it would please you. Why was it different in Dr· Barton's case? What went so wrong that he locked himself for days in his study after mending his severed wireline?

Introducing an Unknown Word

Reintroducing the Ancient Pictogram
The explorers had seen this indecipherable symbol once in the past. It was painted on the door to a walled-off secret chamber. Now they come across the same design in a mythical forest...! Well, not exactly. Apologies for a little imprecision. To be more accurate, it should be foreshadowed that the symbol came to them by itself from between the trees after they hastingly left the scary woods...

The present book is not short of such heroic undertakings. This preview page is a slight premonition of how it goes in real life when 11-year-olds meddle in adults' matters and decide to conduct an investigation on their own... 😉🧐😊

Unveiling the Old Pictogram's Coding
Sheer dumb luck - or unluck - can bring a great deal of changes in anybody's life. This story shows that it's always important not to lose focus, determination, patience, and diligence. Without those virtues, our heroes would probably never find the initial clues about the mysterious symbol's meaning.

Analyzing the Image From Tree-Shaped Stamps
Doctor Barton is running short of further imagination. Someone of his ancestors had left a sketchy drawing in a fiction book. How can this antiquated scribble be so similar to his own, personally hand-taken photograph from recent days?? And what the heck is that greenish bright spot between the trees???

CONTENTS
With Names of Book Parts & Chapters
The story of Cursed Forest is composed of three volumes. The first book takes us to the familiar cushy environment of Dr· Barton's comfy old-town apartment. After giving an insightful scientific presentation in his magnificent private library, everyone is convinced of the need to visit some never-heard-of forestland. That's where he starts exploring the long-fabled legendary area together with the Boleks at the first part's closure. In the following two continuations, the investigators travel back and forth between Dr· Barton's snuggly home research base (including the always-sizzling Grandma Estela's kitchen) and the mystifying woody hills. That's where they encounter unspeakable mysteries and later take part in a grand culmination of events in the form of an intricate rescue mission. Pondering over the collected evidence does not simplify their situation in any respect. Quite the opposite: The factual analysis of all their enigmatic findings only allows the conclusions that are even more hair-raising than anticipated in the wildest imagination!
